Games Are Set
BRIGHTON, MI (AP) Nearly all top seeds pulled through to the Conference
Championships. Nearly. Dennis Harmor pulled an incredible
upset by edging out number 1 seed - Gary Bonn. The APC Championship
game will feature Dennis Harmor against #2 seeded Don Zysk.
The NPC Championship game will have #2 seeded Kevin Rosenau vs. #1 seeded
Steven Nicolet. Click on the "Play-Offs"

Rene Garza, the defending PYX Bowl Champion
fell to Don Zysk. They both had 3 out of 4 games correct.
However, Zysk scored 9 bonus points while Garza finished with 8.
Garza missed Minnesota and he lost out on 2 points. Zysk missed
with Indianapolis but he only gave that game 1 point. That was the
difference.

Nate Lucas, the defending NPC champion, was not able to
get by Kevin Rosenau of the Metro Brotherhood. Both pickers went
2-2 but once again the confidence point tie-breaker made the
difference. Nate had 6 points while Kevin had 7 points. It
basically came down to Lucas putting a little too much faith in Peyton
Manning and the Colts.

Steven Nicolet defeats Malea Nicolet in a close fought
battle. They both managed a 3-1 record in straight up picks.
Malea took Atlanta and Steven took St. Louis, but then Steven evened
everything up by picking New England when Malea picked
Indianapolis. The difference was in the tie-breaker points where
Steven had 9 points and Malea only had 6 points. Nicolet,
representing Hamilton makes his 5th Final Four appearance in 6 six
years.

In the final match-up between #1 seed
Gary Bonn and #5 seed Dennis Harmor we saw the biggest upset of the year
(probably in many years). Both pickers made identical picks with
the only difference being the total points in the Colts/Patriot
game. Bonn took 53 points but Harmor was closer with 35
points. This was the closest match of the weekend and both pickers
were perfect in their picks 4-0...But....The underdog moves
on.
