Dear Pickers,

I am sure many of you are wondering how I stand on the ballot issues as you vote next week. In the end, my stance on every issue is what’s best for this league, and for YOU, Joe or Sally Picker. Be weary of my opponent’s motives. If he is elected, the PYX future will be in grave danger. The PYX need to be played on American soil. My opponent wants to take the PYX to foreign soils, he’s already done so with the website. Let’s keep the PYX at home. A vote for Haranczak is a vote for home!

Let me just say that me opponent is a flip-flopper. While he will give you mixed messages on these issues, you will know where I stand as you read this.

1. Proposal A - The NFL Play-Off system
I am in support of the system we are using this season. My vision 5 years ago was to have a regular season and a playoff season that closely resembled the NFL’s system. It just makes sense to have the same number of pickers go to the playoffs that go for the NFL, and to have pickers qualify in the same manner as the NFL teams qualify. Hey, as we all know, the NFL is GREAT entertainment, the PYX can learn a lot from the NFL!

2. Proposal B - Regular Season picks format
For the same reasons stipulated in my stance on proposal A, I support the current PYX format. While it makes for some administrative headaches, they are well worth it to deliver the best PYX product on the market today! The current style offers a competitive edge not otherwise rivaled. It also is more consistent with the NFL as opposed to our old style of PYX competition.

3. Proposal C - The "Peek-A-Boo" rule
Not only do I support being able to see other people’s PYX, it is down right necessary. Why in the world would we have a system where we pick games against each other, and then not have the decency to be able to know what our opponents picked. If people wish to base their PYX on their opponents, history has proven they will lose the majority of the time. Need I remind everyone PYX ethics are best enforced by yourself, not by the commissioner.

I’ll leave this one to the Pickers to decide. My record speaks for itself.
