My fellow pickers,

I come to you today with a great passion for The PYX but a heavy heart as well.  As many of you know The PYX was built upon friendship and a love for the game.  For those of us who didn’t get the opportunity to be the college or high school hero, the opportunity to pick season after season is something that we look forward to every year and something that sometimes is taken very seriously.  To win The PYX division championship or PYX Bowl in some people’s eyes is the equivalency of winning a Grand Valley Division II National Football Championship. 

With that said, not everything can go according to plan and this, my friends is the worst thing that any commissioner has to do.  As I stated last week in the corner, I thought long and hard about what to do about the explicit material and full nudity in The PYX Forum.  I consulted members of the legal counsel and even consulted internet experts and still could not totally decide what to do about this pornographic material that is not acceptable for the site.  

I feel the best way to handle this quandary and to settle the matter once and for all and to appease the members that are outraged over the increase of XXX rated adult material is to appoint a special prosecutor/investigator to look at this issue and decide if, in fact, this unwanted porn material and hardcore sex action was the work of an outsider as claimed on the website or as a matter of fact the workings of an internal person or organization.  Yes, that’s right my friends, I said internal person or organization.

I have been in receipt of an email that upon reading it, I was totally shocked by what I read.  After reading the email, the first thought that came to my mind was one of not just unquestionable sexully explicit material but also “tampering of the website”, which is a serious violation according to our constitution.  (Please see By-Laws, Article XII, Section D, Point 7.  This infraction is punishable by a full suspension from The PYX.)

 I have received enough evidence that I will be turning over to the special prosecutor to examine and then determine if it should be passed along to the Grand Jury for a possible indictment.  I don’t want to go into further detail for it could hamper the investigation.  However I will tell you that the special prosecutor is a man we all know well.  This person did spend some time picking in our league but then felt his calling was better served in going to work for Wolverine World Wide.  The working people of America needed him to help them get to work each and every day to provide a piece of comfortable hardware at a great price and for that we salute you, Mr. Aquino.  That’s right ladies and gentleman I am appointing Nelson Aquino as the special prosecutor to look into this matter and decide if it is warranted to go further and envoke swift punishment on the individual or individuals responsible for this classless act.

I have all the faith in Mr. Aquino’s abilities to make a sound decision and do what is in the best interest of The PYX.  As I stated in my address last week, we will find the people responsible for the material and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

“Mr.Aquino, with a heavy heart and a great passion, I ask you to please do what is right and find the individuals responsible and come back with an indictment to the grand Jury and let’s get The PYX back to where it once was.  To quote former Commissioner and current Vice Commissioner Gary Bonn, – “The PYX is all about friendship and the love of the Steelers”. 

We all will wait graciously for your ruling, Mr. Aquino.

On a more positive note...Peter Tadros continues on record breaking pace.  He went 13-1 this week and is officially named the "Picker of the Week".  He also maintains an unblemished record at 6-0.  Is there any stopping this guy?
