2008 Play-Off Brackets

(1)Kevin Haranczak vs. (1)Thomas Van Dyke – Well, come on...we all knew who the two best pickers in the league were...right?  This was inevitable.  Both pickers are the #1 seeds.  Has this ever happened before in PYX Play-Off history?  Let's check....NOPE!  The number #1 seeds have never met in the PYX Bowl before...we are in uncharted territory.  In fact, the last #1 seed to win the PYX Bowl was Todd Prins in PYX Bowl IV (2003).

First of all...take a look at how I dismantled Al Nowak.  That's right Al...I beat you three times this year.  I own you!!!  There is nothing more to say about the APC Championship Game.  It wasn't even decided by the final point tally tie-breaker.

The NPC Championship was a little bit closer.  Thomas had to score those last few field goals to defeat Steve Harryman in a tie-breaker.

While Tom has the best overall picking percentage in the league this year...I have the best overall head-to-head record which is what's most important anyway.  But isn't it fitting that the two best pickers battle in the end on center stage.

Experience factor?  While many of you bring up the fact that Mr. Van Dyke has been in the Championship Game three times in recent years...let me remind you that neither of us has ever played in the PYX Bowl before.  But wait...are you forgetting The PYX Championship of 1999??  Who won that year?  Why yes...ME!!!!  Kevin Haranczak...PYX Play-Off Champion of 1999.  Look it up folks...I won it all the year before the APC-NPC merger of 2000.  I think I have more experience than my opponent.  This is my 13th picking season while Van Dyke has been picking for merely 9 seasons.

I am not trying to write a lopsided Commissioner Corner...I am being completely neutral while just stating the hard core facts!!  You can take the Commissionership away from me...but NO ONE can keep me from winning PYX BOWL...not even you Tommy Boy.
