Commissioner Tadros Press Conference,
The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites
Brighton, Michigan

Haranczak does it again!  Kevin Haranczak, Mike Colliau and Ryan Thome each win the Picker of the Week Award. All three pickers went 13-3 in Week 12.  Good picking men!

.

Mike Colliau, Kevin Haranczak and Ryan Thome are Pickers of the Week

There were a few epic battles this past week.  The battle for Hamilton was raged between Brent Van Wieren and Brian Klingenberg which was the featured game of the week on Monday Night Football.  Brent made it all the way to the PYX Bowl last year and has been the King of the Hamiltonians.  But this year Brian is making a statement.  Klingenberg has lead all pickers in total picking percentage all season long.  It was a tough match but Brian came out on top (Klingenberg=12-4 and Van Wieren=11-5) and the game was played on Brent's home field even!  It looks like Brian may be crowned the new Hamilton King this season.

Another great match-up was Kurt Hazlewood versus Matt Cushman.  Kurt has been having his greatest season ever while expansion team Cushman has been leading his Division since Week 1.  They had 5 games different between them.  It all came down to the NY Giants/Tennessee game.  New York was ahead 21-0 in the fourth quarter.  It looked like Matt had it all wrapped up.  But then the unexpected happened...dare I say, a miracle took place on the football field!  Tennessee behind Vince Young pulled off one the greatest come from behind upset wins in many years.  And, of course, Kurt came out on top.

The biggest robbery happened when Mike Colliau defeated the Commissioner.  Sometimes when you go 12-4...it's just not enough.  What a shame.

The inner division rivalries continued with the Metro Brotherhood battle between Jeff Nichols and Kevin Rosenau.  Both pickers were tied atop the APC West Division.  With a stellar 12-4 picking record, Jeff emerges the winner and is now all alone in first place.  Rosenau was distraught after the game and decided to leave town for a few days...he plans to re-group and return to the office on December 4.

Another great battle between two of the best pickers in the league was waged between Don Zysk and Thomas Van Dyke.  Don and Tom have been neck and neck in picking percentage all season long.  This was Thomas' chance to pull closer to Division leader Zysk.  Both pickers picked at a very high level finishing at 11-5.  But that means only one thing...overtime!  What a match!  Thomas picked 40 points and Don picked 45.  It looked like Green Bay was going to hold the score down on the snowy field...but alas, Seattle pulls out the win and scores one last time to put Zysk in the victory seat.

The other overtime game was between Rachelle Sova and David Seelye.  David Seelye escaped with a victory by going 10 points higher in the tie-breaker, leaving David only one game out of first place in his Division.

Let's take a look at the Division Leaders after 12 weeks of picking:

In the APC it's pretty cut & dry:  Jay Zink, Don Zysk, Matt Cushman and Jeff Nichols.

The NPC is a dogfight!  Joe Thome leads in one Division, but the other three Divisions feature two-way ties:  Brian Klingenberg and Linda Dalman---Paul Landry and Mike Colliau---Brent Van Wieren and Zander Firlik.

If the Play-offs were to begin today, Kurt Hazlewood and Gary Bonn would be safely in for the APC.  But unfortunately, one of the Division leaders in the NPC would be eliminated.

No reason to hit the panic button....YET.  We still have 5 more weeks of picking.

LET'S GET FIRED UP!!!!!!
