The PYX On Fire With Angel Fire Feb 06, 2003  CONGRATULATIONS...... To the 2003 PYX Bowl Champion Todd Prins! A very impressive season winning both the regular season and PYX Bowl IV.
This was our 8th season of picking and our fourth PYX Bowl. Todd Prins won the PYX Bowl over Jerry Lyczynski (Al Nowak's brother-in-law). It wasn't even close as Prins had one of those magical seasons. As a consolation, Jerry Lyczynski's great accomplishment was putting an end to the so-called Hamilton Dynasty. Lyczynski pounded Steven Nicolet in the Championship game---there would be no 3-peat for Nicolet. Ex-Commissioner, Gary Bonn had a remarkable season himself, placing 2nd overall in the regular season. But he bowed out to 7th seeded Joe Thome in the first round of the play-offs. It was a disappointing ending to an otherwise great season of picking. Hopefully Gary's depression won't last too long and he'll show up for PYX training camp this spring. The greatest disappointment this year was the
lack of commitment from certain pickers at the bottom of the standings.
John Cardoza - Christopher Yerke - Zeke Chapman How dare you disrespect the PYX!? Each of you quit before the season concluded. That is worse than improper picking, that is out right desecration and PYX Blasphemy!!! As Commissioner of this league, I am going to exercise my right to ban each of you. You will receive a lifetime ban for one season...NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!! I am mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore. There will be more pickers who I will ban...I have a list and checking them off. Commissioner Bonn let too many people off the hook in the past. How dare you Mr. Bonn!! My administration will not be so lenient; I will not tolerate this kind of behavior. So concludes the 8th season of the PYX. Thank you to everyone in the PYX. I am happy to serve you as a good, just, fair, warm & friendly Commissioner. Please remember to vote for me for Commissioner re-election next year.
